Measurement of the efficiency of microwave shielding:
Shielding efficiency is defined by the ability of a conductive seal (cut flat seal, size 660 x 660 mm external
frame, 610 x 610 mm internal frame, thickness 1.6 mm, with 52 drills Ø6.5 mm) to provide an electrical con-
nection between an aluminum hatch and a 610 x 610 mm opening of a Faraday cage, and to attenuate the
RF fields emitted through the aperture according to specified data. Electrical connection between an alumi-
num foil and a 610 x 610 mm opening of a Faraday cage, and to attenuate the RF fields emitted through the
opening according to specified data. The performance criterion being an attenuation expressed in dB, on a
scanning frequency range from 20 MHz to 10 GHz.
